The Desert Sage is a restaurant about 1/2 mile southwest of Crestone in the townhouses. It has a large seating capacity and is prepared to serve meals to participants in events. It was originally sponsored by the Strongs as a supporting facility for the Aspen Institute. It now services Colorado Collage and events at spiritual centers.

  • July 16, 2016 Excellent service by local server. Nice selection of bottled beer. Hamburger excellent but plain, just buns and meat, french fries: lots but only so-so. Good fish chowder. Leg of lamb entrée: nasty, stringy, over-cooked mystery meat slobbered with a salty dark brown sauce.
