The 5 o'clock news has become an international stereotype for shocking news, usually on un-notable subjects, but aired for the ratings. Many criticize the free amount of violence aired at high hours with little or no warning. This hunt for sensationalism has crossed the virtual border of the U.S and spread to as far as Romania, as well to other time frames.
