• AUC is a Latin abbreviation for calculation of dates.

It has two meanings:

1. "AB URBE CONDITA" (from the founding of the city (of Rome)
2. "ANNO URBIS CONDITAE" (in the year from the founding of the city (of Rome)

• AUC is an abbreviation for Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia, the name of the main paramilitary group in Colombia.
• In Medicine and Pharmacology AUC means "area under the curve". This is the area under the concentration time curve.
• AUC (or sometimes, probably wrongly, AuC) is a the Authentication Center in a GSM network.
