American Expeditionary Force

The American Expeditionary Force or AEF was the United States military forces in World War I.
US President Woodrow Wilson initally planed to give command of the AEF to General Frederick Funston, but after Funston's sudden death appointed General John Pershing who oversaw US forces throughout the war.
