Angeln

Angeln (Angelen) is a peninsula in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, protruding into the Baltic Sea. It is separated from the peninsula of Schwansen by the Schlei inlet, and from the Danish island of Als by the Flensburger F�rde ("firth of Flensburg"). The region is the land the Angles left when migrating to Britain. The word in itself means angles, as in angling fish.
