Armenian SSR

The Armenian SSR was the name given to Armenia when it was part of the Soviet Union from 1936 to 1991. From 1922 to 1936 it was part of the Transcaucasian Federative Soviet Socialist Republic together with the Georgian SSR and the Azerbaijan SSR.
