Biel Mean Time or BMT is also called Central European Standard Time, or UTC + 1 hour. This time is the equivalent of the time in Paris, Rome, Geneva and Berlin during the winter, or London, Dublin and Lisbon during the summer.
Biel Mean Time is a new Meridian (as opposed to the Greenwich Meridian). This new Meridian goes through Swatch's office in Biel, Switzerland, and is called the BMT Meridian.
The Fifth World Council adopted in the past both the Swatch Internet Time standard, and the BMT Meridian, which now also runs through the city of Cyberterra.
