Abstract strategy games (as defined on Wikinfo) have perfect information and no random elements—luck therefore plays no role in the game play whatsoever (the players are solely responsible for their decisions). They generally have two players or teams, so (potentially unfair) coalitions can't be formed. Abstract strategy games require only mental skills and are restricted solely to the understanding and execution of the rules: manual dexterity or quickness plays no role. Neither is there any dependance on knowledge (e.g., trivia questions). The decision-making is sequential, although the execution of the moves can be simultaneous. Abstract strategy games are usually board games, but there are also a few card games.
