Criticism of Backwards technology

Many of the examples given to the term are subjective at best. To say that computers and the internet are regressive technologies and just fads is missing the many positive uses of these two tools, which in many cases overwhelm their detrimental parts. Computers are the best source of information since (and that can process sometimes better and more easily information than) libraries, while the internet and cellular phones are a big factor in bringing people from very high distances much closer and with little effort.
That's the point. It seems like a good idea, but that's not how it's used. Instead when people start using the technology most of it is spam, mindless chatter and stress to the point of that it doesn't improve people's lives at all.
