Dakon, a mancala game played on Java, Indonesia, is similar to Congkak, but has no simultaneous opening. It can be played on boards ranging from six to 10 holes per row. Dakon was already mentioned in a book on Java by Pieter Johannes Veth in 1875. The game has been solved by human players and is a first player's win in the first move.
