The United Kingdom has many dependent territories throughout the world, which are legally part of the UK. These are often also referred to as United Kingdom Overseas Territories.

Although the United Kingdom is responsible for their external affairs, The Isle of Man and Channel Islands are not legally part of the United Kingdom; they are classed as British Crown Dependencies.
