A Group 4 element is an element in periodic table group 4 (IUPAC style) in the periodic table, which consists of:
- Titanium (22)
- Zirconium (40)
- Hafnium (72)
- Rutherfordium (104)
- Cerium (Lanthanide) (58)
- Thorium (Actinide) (90)
All of these elements are classed in Group 4 because their outer shell holds four electrons. Rutherfordium can only be produced in the laboratory and has not been found in nature.
