A habit is the usual condition or state of a person or thing, either natural or acquired, regarded as something had, possessed, and firmly retained. There are two kinds of habit; Nuns' clothing and personal habit. Habit is routine behavior. Whatever you do will become a habit and will be anticipated, for example if you always eat lunch at 11.00 you will become hungery at 11.

A personal habit is one which shows a habitual routine that is not consciously considered. Habits can be developed conciously if you wish to gain control over the phenomenon; simply start doing something on a regular basis.

The beginning of a habit is like an invisible thread, but every time we repeat the act we strengthen the strand, add to it another filament, until it becomes a great cable and binds us irrevocably in thought and act. -Orison Swett Marden
