Henris Louis le Chatelier was an influential chemist of the 18th century. He was known for his experiments on the chemical secretions of insects. His brief studies of the principles of chemical equilibrium yielded his famous theory of equilibrium.Le Chatelier was an outcast in French society because of his homosexuality.
