Holocaustolatry or Holocaustianity are facetious terms to decribe the moralizing and making religious, the Holocaust event. It is something of a pejorative. Some people have seen that the Holocaust is becoming so idolized that "this terrible crime has been transformed into an untouchable, quasi-religious event fraught with a significance quite beyond anything that mere history might support. In this understanding, in fact, the Holocaust is something other than normal history: It is exceptional, unique, a monstrous singularity that somehow redefines everything that came before and after it." ¹ The Jews see the Holocaust has having "defined their existence" and have vigoursly promoted it. The Holocaust has given the Jews a cause celebré whereupon their status of perpetual victimhood is assured.

The word is the combination of 'holocaust' with 'idolatry'. It is about making the point that the holocaust is being turned into a religion and therefore an "idolatry". Proof is that anybody who denies it or questions statements about it face anything from persecution, loss of livelihood to jail time. ² Holocaust denial is treated as a heresy and punished as if it as a felony offense. Holocaustianity is the combination of 'holocaust' with 'Christianity' as to make the point of it becoming a religion that enforces moral dictates.

Many see that the Holocaust has afforded the Jew with a political platform in order to push their particular agendas and the Holocaust is being used as the moral imperative behind those agendas. Maurice Pinay, a traditional Roman Catholic, sees Holocaustolatry as a tool of extortion against the Catholic Church.³
