Intelligent, but lazy
From Wikinfo
"Intelligent, but lazy" is a term most often used in the United Kingdom and the United States, refering to someone who has very high natural intelligence but is too laid-back to use it to their full potential. These people are sometimes known as under-achievers. People who can be classed as "intelligent, but lazy" tend to fall under this category during their teen years, where they find they can simply float through their acedemic years using their natural intelligence to score "average" grades. Realising that they don't need to study or work and can still maintain normal grades, this appears as the easy option - compared to studying and aiming to get to their full potential.
Often failing to be inspired by scholastic measures, "intelligent but lazy" folks often end up contributing online communities, such as wikis, artistic and scientific projects, software development, book writing, and may even become famous at their chosen craft. These lazy students often find their achievements later in life than others who may have excelled in grade school yet flounder as adults. Many High school reunions seem to reveal informally that the "straight A" Prom Queens and Jocks rarely leave their county or achieve further greatness, yet the "intelligent but lazy" Wallflowers or shy kids go on to much greater things and travels later in their lives.
