June Floyd, an American artist, was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Early Years
Beginning at age seven, Floyd studied music, and began playing the accordion. This continued until age 16, and after high school and college, she completed her education as a registered nurse.
Art
In 1998 Floyd was finally able to fulfill her dream to paint. Until that time, on film she captured sunsets, sunrises, rainbows, seascapes, and landscapes from around the United States and Canada. In 1998, she began receiving instruction in acrylic painting from well-known local artist, Milton Lenoir.
