A living organism is a biological system which is said to be alive, although decribing certain elementary biological systems as being alive is not conventional usage as they may not meet the conventional definition of life. Considered in terms of sensing the important consideration is whether they have stimulus response, the ability to measure properties of its surrounding environment, and act on certain conditions.
