Microchip revolution

The microchip revolution had its beginnings with the IC integrated circuitand the Microprocessor both of which were developed to increase efficiency. Moore's law which is a subset of the Law of Accelerating Returns [1] means that the power provided by micro processors will exceed that of the human brain within tens of years an event that will bring on the Technological singularity according to some futurists, the microchip revolution has made it possible for a large portion of human activity to become automated, which is creating a strain on the work force because of the displacement of labor.
