Mystic (Randian sense)
From Wikinfo
Mystic is a term used by Ayn Rand in order to signify all those that have a belief in God. "According to Rand's Atlas Shrugged, all people who believe in God are "mystics," meaning that they don't believe in reason, are enemies of life and reality, and are evil." This means that the Christians that made up the bulk of Western culture and Western civilization for thousands of years have been mystics who deny reality and are evil.
Ayn Rand gives her own sense of the term "mystic". Her enthusiasts and admirers and adherents to her Objectivist philosophy will label God-believers as "mystics". In this sense, the word "mystic" can be said to take on a "Randian" connotation. This sense is different from the original meaning of the term mystic.
