Nancy Lopez, born January 6, 1957 in Torrance, California, United States, is one of the most famous women in the history of the sport of golf.

Lopez was and is also known as Nancy Lopez-Knight, after her marriage to former Major League baseball player and 1986 World Series Most Valuable Player Ray Knight.

She starred on the LPGA tour for many years, and is enshrined in the LPGA Hall Of Fame.

  • 4-time LPGA Player of the Year (1978-79,85,88); Rookie of Year (1977); 3-time winner of LPGA Championship; reached Hall of Fame by age 30 with 35 victories; 48 career wins.
