Peter II of Savoy

Peter II (b. 1203-d. 1268) was Count of Savoy from 1263 to 1268. Surnamed the Little, he was elected(?) to succeded Boniface who was killed in battlefield.
married to Agnes of Faucigny and had a daughter:

- 2. in 1273 to Gaston, Viscount of Bearn

He was the uncle of Eleanor of Provence, queen-consort of Henry III of England, and came with her to London. King Henry made Peter Earl of Richmond and gave him (in 1246) the land between the Strand and the Thames where Peter built the Savoy Palace in 1263.
