Recyclopedia is a community project whose goal is to produce free, open articles on social change, social justice, ecological health, sustainable trades, green politics, direct action, healthy habits and infrastructure to support them. For example, how to make composting toilets, how to start an anarchist group, how to make press releases, civil disobedience tactics, photos of vivisection, consensus decision making, the buy local vegan food shops and cheap Slow Food in your area, places to squat, local radical groups, lists of patches, list of billboard liberations, etc.
The project was formed as a reaction to the way content on Wikipedia is controlled "by an elite of SysOps and their cronies who heavily moderate the kind of things that Recyclopedia is interested in. Recyclopedia is being much more careful to avoid this systematic bias."
The project website runs on GetWiki and uses the GFDL or one of the Creative Commons licenses for its text.
