Reformism is the belief that gradually changes in a society can change its fundamental structures. That is contrasted to "revolutionism" which believes that there must be a revolution to fundamentally change a society. A person who adhere to reformism is called a reformist.

The term is usually applied to the Political Left Wing. Reformists are seen as Centre Left. Social Democrat parties such as the American Green party and the Canadian NDP are reformist.
