Screen reader

A Screen reader is a program that lets individuals access text and, specially, graphics on the computer screen, by "reading" aloud the information (text-to-speech).

A screen reader can read, between others:

• Any GUI graphics and text on the screen.
• Web browser and email and usenet clients.
• Office suite programs.
