Slave labor is the use of prisoners in a systematic way as in concentration camps as factory or agricultural workers. In the People's Republic of China slave labor is called laogai, which means "reform through labor. Nazi Germany also extensively used slave labor as did Stalinist Russia, Rome and other ancient civilizations.
