Springfield is a city in the western part of the State of Massachusetts. It is located in Hampden County at 42°7' North, 72°32' West. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 152,082. It is the county seat of Hampden County6.
It is home to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Springfield, Massachusetts is served by Bradley International Airport in nearby Hartford, Connecticut
