Stone

Stone can refer to any of the following:

• A rock. See also stone skipping, curling.
• As a verb, to stone, a method of execution using rocks, stoning.
• A gemstone, as used in jewelry.
• A unit of mass or weight equal to fourteen pounds.
• The hard covering enclosing the seed of a drupe such as a peach.
• As a verb, the intoxicating effects of cannabis, as in to be stoned.

Stone is also the name of several places in England, in the counties of Buckinghamshire, Gloucestershire, Kent, Staffordshire, and Worcestershire.
