U.S. Robotics

U.S. Robotics was a company that made computer modems. It merged with and became a subsidiary of 3Com Corporation in June 1997. Today, 3Com makes modems and networking devices under the U.S. Robotics brand name.
The name for the company may have come from U.S. Robotics and Mechanical Men, a fictional company which appeared in several stories by Isaac Asimov.
