Students at the school include 15,000 undergraduated and 2,000 graduates. The university is divided into:
- The College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences;
- The College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences;
- The Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering;
- The A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management; and
- The Graduate School of Education.
UCR offers various bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, as well as teaching and other credentials. There is also a University Extension program to provide continuing education to community members in the Inland Empire.
