Wikinfo:Navigation
From Wikinfo
The Wikinfo owl appears on pages about site operation, such as navigation, how to search, exploring the wikinfo community, help with editing, how to create an article of original research, and so forth. Blue Links like this one, Main Page, take you to Wikinfo articles and sometimes to external websites. Red Links take you to empty articles you can create. Browsing wikinfo can be done with mouseclicks. The top left box is called the navigation menu. Everyone uses it because it gives one click access to a variety of things.

--Main Page brings up our first page.
--Community Portal introduces you to our community pages.
--the Current events portal is not presently active.
--the last 50 or so edits. A way to see edits after they happen.
--a Random article is selected by the software.
--brings up the main help page with help on many topics.
--an article about contributions.
Just below the navigation menu is the search menu. Type into it to find articles you would like to create, or would like to read. A full explanation of how to use search can be found by clicking that word or by typing- Wikinfo:Searching -into that box and pressing Enter on your keyboard. If you want articles about how Wikinfo operates, how to edit, articles with our owl logo, type into the search box- Wikinfo:title -where title is the topic you are after.
You can't do any harm to anything by clicking about and by browsing. Occasionally new editors get carried away and delete whole articles they personally disagree with. Of course this is discouraged, how can the rest of us have fun when a small handful of vandals seek to destroy? A few editors are usually keeping an eye on Recent Changes and handle occasional vandalism.
