Anti-Stalinism refers to variants of socialism and other ideologies that oppose Stalinism: Trotskyism, social democracy, anarchism, and others. Anti-Stalinists regard Joseph Stalin as a dictator, mainly because they consider the purges that supossedly took place during Stalin's rule, as to have targeted some innocent people or that they were unjust. Many Anti-Stalinists don't consider Stalinism a communist ideology, but instead state capitalist, because of the theory of Socialism in one country and the nationalist (contrasted with internationalism) nature of the ideology.

Lenin wanted to remove Stalin as a General Secretary for the Communist Party.[citation needed]

The Communist Party of Cuba is among the communist parties which oppose Stalinism.[1]
