Atheist feminism advocates the equality of men and women
within atheism.[1] Atheist feminists also oppose religion as a main source of female oppression and inequality, believing that all major religions are sexist and oppressive to women.[2] The term is a contemporary one, and did not exist at the time of the first women who were both feminist and atheist.
