The Bush era refers to a period of time when George W. Bush was the 43rd president of the United States. Bush was a Republican and served two terms.

It also was a dictatorship, with the PATRIOT Act creating fascist policies such as

"purchase technology and equipment for intelligence gathering and analysis functions, including wire-tap, pen links, cameras, and computer hardware and software;"

Section 1005. (b)(2)[1]

During the Bush era, the War on Terror was waged and is still going on today. It was that act that made many criticize Bush, with Hugo Chávez calling Bush the devil.[2] Thus showing how many people disliked the Bush era.

George Bush caused the current reccesion by ending the Clinton Tax system and placing inept politicans to carry out tasks of highest importance.[citation needed]
